What does the term Face Stock mean?

Labels are essentially made up of three parts; the face stock, adhesive and the liner. The term face stock refers to the type of material the printing will be done on. Examples of our face stocks are white uncoated paper, clear gloss poly, brown kraft, white laser poly, fluorescent colors and white gloss.

Is there a template or spec sheet to help me set-up for printing?

Each package comes with a guide sheet to set margins, label size, etc. You can also download a Word Doc or PDF from our DownLoad Template Page.

What is a label rewind direction?

A label rewind direction has three basic elements. How the label feeds off the roll; inside or outside, the direction the length and width of the label comes off the roll, and finally the text and image direction on the label itself. If you are using a roll label printer or having labels machine applied, check out our Label Rewind Direction chart.

I would like to have some labels custom printed. How do I go about ordering them?

Many factors go into getting a custom printed label made. The easiest way is to contact us and let us do all the work. You tell us the size, quantity, ink colors and face stock and we'll quote a price and provide you with a digital proof for viewing.

What is the difference between Waterproof and Water-resistant labels?

Check out our in depth definitions here Waterproof vs Water-resistant.

Can I get samples?

Yes. If fact, we encourage customers to sample our products prior to ordering. While we strive to offer the finest and most compatible products on the market, not all face stock work the same through all printer types or models and the label adhesive does not perform similar on all surface types. Samples can be requested from our Sample request page.
