What is BOPP? 

BOPP is an acronym for Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene

Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP) is a variant of polypropylene that has been stretched in two directions, thus improving its clarity, tensile strength, barrier properties, and rigidity. BOPP has low permeability to water, gas, and aroma substances, which makes it resistant to oils and greases.

When made into labels, BOPP is commonly used in applications that require moisture resistance, product longevity, and durability. BOPP labels are often found on products such as food and beverage containers, personal care products, household goods, and pharmaceutical products due to their ability to withstand significant wear and tear, as well as their resistance to water, oil, and UV rays. They are often used for packaging, where they provide a glossy and attractive finish that is resistant to environmental stressors.

In Sheets, our White BOPP Labels go by the term  White PolyGloss.  These Polypropylene labels are 2.6 mils thick and have a 50# liner paper which makes the overall label stock thickness of 7 mils.	Our BOPP Roll labels are 2.6 mils thick and have a 50# liner paper which makes the overall label stock thickness of 7 mils. The Matte and Gloss Poly Rolls are known to work through Primera, Afinia, Epson, Colordyne and many others. All BOPP Poly roll sizes can be found in our Roll Label Section.
